Bergen-based artist group Ytter take over Visningsrommet USF with a broad and vigorous program for six summer weeks. Cupola will partly accommodate a greenhouse with succulent vegetables, a variety of films and videoinstallations, a bakery, art production and editorial operations. We invite for informal conversations and homemade baking throughout the summer.
The title Cupola is taken from the architectural form - the dome as an observation post, but also a protective shell. Cupola is a framework: The venue, the exhibition and the program will be developed and transformed through the summer. Follow the goings-on at www.ytter.no
Cupola Planthotel: Come with your potted plants, so we can look after them while you are on your summer holiday. During the exhibition period, you can deliver or pick up the plants at any time within the gallery’s opening hours. The hotel stay is free.
Cupola Bakery: We open with a baking course in the gallery this weekend the 3rd and 4th of July.
A farmer from Sigdal will be visiting us with a wood-fired oven and an assortment of native grains. With him he has a German baker who will help us to conjure up delicious baking goods.
Welcome to the course at 3pm Saturday and Sunday.
